What we collect
When you create an account we receive your email address, display name, and avatar from your sign-in provider (handled by Clerk). When you contribute, we store your edits, the assets you mark in your catalog, and a reputation score derived from your activity.
How we use it
Account data identifies your contributions and powers the trust system. We use aggregate, non-identifying analytics (page views, searches) to understand which games and features matter most. We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies & consent
We group cookies into three categories. Strictly necessary cookies (authentication, language, your consent choice) are always active — the site cannot work without them. Analytics and Advertising cookies only run after you opt in. On your first visit a banner lets you Accept all, Reject non-essential, or choose per category, and you can change your decision anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Until you consent, no analytics or advertising scripts (including Google AdSense) are loaded.
Advertising
ARKANA is supported by advertising, which keeps it free. Where ads appear, we may rotate house/custom banners (first-party, no third-party cookies) and — only with your advertising consent — Google AdSense units. AdSense and any third-party ad tags are not loaded unless you have enabled advertising cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time in Cookie settings.
Your rights
You can edit or delete your account at any time from your profile. Deleting your account removes your personal data; contributions you made may remain (anonymized) to preserve the integrity of the shared knowledge base.
